The Secret of Monkey Island Soundtrack Remix – Track “4” and more!
Just recorded the “fifth” track in my list. The Melee Island music.
I have also recorded updated versions of each of the previous tracks I’ve posted. In addition, I combined the Monkey Island Theme and the ‘Introduction’ theme into one MP3, so the new track is now track 4. The new MP3’s have been tagged accordingly.
Enjoy!

Sounds for Miranda IM
I made some sounds to use with the Miranda IM app. I was tired of having no sounds for it at all. So I made some of my own, download link below. They were made using the FL Studio soft-synth Ogun. If you like these sounds and want to screw around with the synth, try the free Autogun synth, based on Ogun.

Here is a demo:
What have I been up to the past week?
- I’ve been playing Dragon Age Origins for the past few days. It’s a pretty fun game. I’ve played through it once as a Dwarf Noble Warrior, now I’m going again as a Dalish Elf Warrior.
- I’ve been playing on my Counter-Strike: Source server and trying out a bunch of different server-side mods. I found one mod I really like and went so far as to code my own small addon for it, but currently have the mod disabled because some of the regular players were crying like babies about it. I suppose any mod that forces people to actually have to both think about tactics and react quickly, or die, is just too much to ask.
- We started raiding 25 player instances in my WoW guild again last week. It’s going alright I suppose, though not much has changed. I find myself losing interest, which is probably a good thing..? I’d like to kill Arthas and be done with it, but we’ll see what happens…
- I ordered some new hard drives and a new CPU for my main PC! Hopefully it is here by the middle of the week. More on this when it arrives…
That’s all for now…

Here is a short little take I remixed of the fanfare from the NES game Contra. I used the Roland XV-5080 and Fantom XR for this. More specifically I used the SRX-04, SRX-06, and SRX-10 expansion boards patches.
Enjoy!

Dragon Warrior 4 – Tower Music
A friend asked me to see what I can do with this midi music of the game Dragon Warrior 4 if I had time to check it out. He mentioned that it was making patch changes to sounds that his synth doesn’t have. I have identified that the MIDI is most likely a Roland GS midi of the SC-88pro sound set, as none of the patch changes call for sounds from anything newer than the SC-88pro. I started cleaning up the first couple tracks, getting rid of redundant control messages mostly, and have recorded the song unaltered on my SC-8850.
Here it is:

Now, it is time to see what I can do with it on the XV-5080 and Fantom XR 🙂
